What is In-Home Respite?

In-Home Respite provides temporary, in-home support for adults 55+, allowing primary caregivers to step away for a few hours or even a few days. Whether you need time to run errands, attend appointments, or simply recharge, Age Well’s trained volunteers are here to step in and ensure your loved one receives the attention and care they need.

  • Respite is often considered the “gift of time” for those who are providing caregiving to loved ones. Respite provides short-term relief for caregivers and companionship for the care receivers.  

  • Age Well respite has a 2-hour minimum.

  • Respite is a service that provides relief for those providing caregiving for a loved one.  Stress, physical sickness, anxiety, missed deadlines and declining personal hygiene are all indications that someone might benefit from respite.

  • All Age Well In-home Homemaker and Companion employees are provided Dementia Friendly at Work training.
